Power-Up Your Immune System and Ward Off the Coronavirus By Eliminating These 3 Foods

Fear over the coronavirus continues to climb - but it's primarily fueled by misinformation and sensationalization. People are being led to believe that the coronavirus is extremely dangerous and deadly. It's ironic that just a few days ago the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros stated: “Most people will have mild disease and get better without needing any special care.” And now the WHO has released a fear-mongering death rate estimate of 3.4 percent; this estimate is quite implausible, if not wildly inaccurate.

Boost Your Immune System: Eliminate These 3 Foods to Ward Off Coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially declared the coronavirus as a ‘pandemic,’ and the WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made the following statement: “We are deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity — and by the alarming levels of inaction.”

I think the panic-inducing media coverage is doing us little good. Of course, take basic precautions – washing your hands regularly and using disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer (although these are loaded with chemicals that can disrupt your immune system) there are more natural ingredients (we share in our video course Becoming Immune to the CoronaVirus) that can protect our hands before going into public spaces are great ideas. But the most important thing you can do is to optimize your immune system so that it can do its job of protecting you from pathogens such as the coronavirus

I have shared several methods over the past week on how to boost your immune system, which you can check out here: What I’m going to share with you today, is the three worst foods for your immune system. By eliminating these foods you’ll not only help defend yourself from the coronavirus, but you’ll also fight aging and chronic disease, lose weight, bolster your sex drive, look younger, and feel better!

Sugar

Every time you consume sugar it suppresses your immune system for at least a few hours, so if you eat it multiple times a day, your immune system may be perpetually operating at a distinct disadvantage. Moreover, a high-sugar diet leads to chronic inflammation and increases your risk for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes; these diseases make the coronavirus more severe and reduce your body’s ability to recover from it.

If you want optimal immunity I recommend you cut out all types of sugar and sugar-containing foods, including the ones commonly considered ‘healthy’ such as honey, maple syrup, molasses, and cane sugar. Keep in mind that sugar is rarely consumed by itself. Often candies have very high amounts of fats combined with sugars which will further worsen the insulin, blood sugar levels, and depression of the immune system.

According to a recent poll: Americans’ favorite candy is extremely high in fat and sugar with dairy proteins which damage white blood cells, as seen under the microscope. The worst foods, most often consumed are:

  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup – 36% with 5 grams of fat, 22 grams of sugar with over 220 calories per cup
  • Snickers – 18% with 11 grams of fat, 12 grams of sugar, and over 280 calories
  • M&M – 11% with 9 grams of fat, 31 grams of sugar, and 230 calories
  • Hershey Bars-6%, with 13 grams of fat, 21 grams of added sugar, and 220 calories

Each of the above also has over 5 mg of cholesterol per serving which further paralyzes the immune system.

Candies with “just sugar” were less often selected:

  • Candy corn – 6% with 0 fat, 32 grams of sugar at 140 calories
  • Skittles – 5% with 2 grams of fat, 43 grams of sugar at 230 calories
  • Starburst – 4% under 1 gram of fat, 4 grams of sugar with 20 calories per piece

This doesn’t even get into the issue of food coloring, additives, and chemicals that also dangerously damage the immune system. Ideally, your only source of sugar should be fruits and starchy vegetables.

Animal Protein

Just like sugar, a diet that is high in animal protein increases inflammation throughout your body and raises your risk for chronic diseases that make you more susceptible to the coronavirus. Animal products are also high in estrogens, antibiotics, and other toxins that overwhelm your liver and reduce your immunity. Consuming them alters the healthy, immune system boosting gut bacteria, reducing their ability to fight off viruses and other pathogens.

We need far less protein than we’ve been led to believe and can get all of our needs met with a plant-based diet. Eliminating or vastly reducing your intake of animal products will not only support your gut health and immune system, it will also help shave inches off your waistline, lower your cholesterol and blood pressure, reduce your medication requirements, enhance your skin health, and add years to your life expectancy.

Fat

Animal fats and all fats that are separated from their source are bad for you. This includes all types of vegetable oils and all foods that contain oils (baked goods, chips, fried food, fast food, etc.). When you consume these fats it causes your red blood cells (RBCs) to clump together for hours afterwards and RBCs are important modulators of the innate immune response. Similar to sugar and animal proteins, a high-fat diet also leads to chronic inflammation and increased chronic disease risk; and saturated fats have been shown to ‘short-circuit’ human immune cells. I’m not advising you to eat a fat-free diet, your body and brain need some healthy fats to thrive; but for optimal health and immunity, your diet should be low in processed fat, and the fat should come from whole foods such as avocados, coconuts, olives, nuts, and seeds.

Bonus Tip for Warding Off Coronavirus

Eliminating or vastly reducing your intake of sugar, animal proteins, and fat will go a long way toward bolstering your immune system. If you would like extra protection against the coronavirus, the common cold, the flu, and other illnesses it’s essential that you also support your adrenal glands because they play a key role in your immunity and most of us have adrenal glands that are under-functioning. For an immediate and effective boost in adrenal function take Adrenal DMG daily.

Adrenal DMG contains small doses of naturally derived cortisol, which helps reduce inflammation and support immunity. It also contains a proprietary blend of herbs including echinacea, garlic, tart cherry, caprylic acid, and location (to target RNA & DNA viruses). These herbs nourish adrenal glands, boost immunity, and have natural antiviral and antibacterial properties.
