World’s Most Famous Bodybuilder Thrives on a Plant-Based Diet

If you believe the myth that you can’t build muscle and strength without animal protein then listen-up. I and many famous athletes and bodybuilders have made the transition to a plant-based diet with outstanding success. And now the world’s most famous bodybuilder and celebrity – Arnold Schwarzenegger admits that he too is thriving on plants. In his recent YouTube post, Arnold lets us peek inside his fridge and it’s full of fruits and vegetables. He says he hates cows milk and drinks almond milk instead, and only rarely eats meat. 

“I stay away from more from the meats and more from animal products and animal proteins because there was this misconception that it’s the only way to get big and strong. So now I’ve backed off that and I feel much better after eating more greens.” –  Arnold Schwarzenegger 

If you still aren’t convinced that plant proteins are superior just look at nature – many of the most strong and powerful animals (elephants, horses, oxen, gorillas etc) are herbivores. Not only are animal proteins unhealthy and unnecessary, but they’re also loaded with estrogen which can lead to estrogen dominance. This hormonal health condition has reached epidemic proportions in America and most people don’t even realize they are suffering with it.

Estrogen dominance can lead to excess belly fat, man boobs, PMS, acne, mood swings, loss of libido, and an increased risk for several chronic diseases. It also seriously sabotages your strength building efforts. “Estrogen balance is essential for achieving and maintaining fat loss,” says the author of The Supercharged Hormone Diet, Natasha Turner, ND. “An imbalance will definitely impact your ability to build and retain lean and metabolically active muscle tissue, as well as your ability to burn fat,” she adds. 

Guidelines for Building Muscle Mass

#1: Consume 5 to 6 small meals a day, make sure you are consuming more calories than you are burning (calorie surplus) and include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, spices, nuts, seeds, and water. 

#2: If you suspect you might suffer from estrogen dominance, take DIM259. DIM259 contains a highly concentrated dose of diindolylmethane (DIM), which is a powerful nutrient that clears out toxic estrogens.
