America’s most common and deadliest chronic diseases are almost exclusively caused by lifestyle factors, and of all the factors, the low-fiber, Standard American Diet (SAD), is perhaps the biggest contributor. You can markedly reduce your disease risk and enhance longevity by consuming a wholefoods, unprocessed, organic, plant-based diet; high in fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, beans, and legumes. For optimal health you also need to consume approximately 100 grams of fiber daily and vastly reduce or eliminate all sources of processed salt and saturated fat (dairy, meat, butter, eggs, fried foods, vegetable oils, and processed foods).
Fox News has been reporting on nutrition and how it ultimately affects the body and all aspects of our lives. They are doing this based on the research and experience of doctors, nutritionists, and other practitioners. According to recent surveys, most adults, young and older, still believe that being sick is inevitable, a part of life. The large majority associate a decline in health as a natural part of getting older. Nothing could be farther from the truth. With proper care the human body can last and maintain optimal function as long as there is life.
[sharify] More than half a billion adults, and over 42 million children are obese, or overweight. Studies have found that obesity was most prevalent in low, and middle income families. Junk food, and processed foods seem to attract buyers who are on a budget, due to their low prices and “can’t miss” deals. Unfortunately, eating fast food, can be a lot more costly than you think.

Many of those effects aren’t immediately observable however, which makes it easier for us to shun fruits and vegetables. Recently though, a study found that eating more fruits and vegetables actually increases our happiness and wellbeing, and the effects take place almost immediately.
[sharify]Estrogen dominance is a huge health epidemic in America, causing a slew of undesirable side-effects including: fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, headaches, mood changes, reduced libido, PMS, endometriosis, fertility issues, increased cancer risk and accelerated aging. Much of the estrogen dominance is caused by exposure to environmental estrogens (xenoestrogens), and one of the most notorious offenders is plastic. You should try to only use BPA-free plastics, and never use plastic in the microwave because heating plastic increases the xenoestrogen levels and directly deposits them into your food.
[sharify] When you hear the word diabetes, dietary sugar is probably the first association that comes to mind. Although too much sugar and refined carbohydrates (which are quickly broken down into sugar in the body), do contribute to metabolic syndrome, blood sugar fluctuation and diabetes symptoms; dairy and fat are actually more harmful than sugar. Before explaining further, it is important to first understand the difference between type-1 and type-2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
